As well as the usual site joinery including door hanging, skirting boards, spindles, door linings, etc. Clare is a bench carpenter which has included bespoke joinery work for fitted wardrobes, oak cupboards, TV stands and renovating and repair of sash windows which has included re-making the frame to be an exact copy of the original. Built in cupboards
Clare can design cupboards to fit any space, even those awkward areas you tend to dump stuff in. If you are not sure what you want Clare will advise and come up with design suggestions. Photos >
Renovation and repair of Sash Window Frames
As a qualified bench joiner Clare was asked to renew rotted sash window frames. The frames were hand made on site and fitted by Clare. The new sash windows are in keeping with the property and will last another 100 years with care. Photos >
Built in stair cupboards
Areas under stairs are often an overlooked space when it comes to storage. The client wanted the area boxed in so it would be more useful and Clare came up with a suitable design, built and fitted the cupboard. Photos >
Built in fitted wardrobes
The clients previous wardrobes were off the shelf from a well known furniture supplier. Dissatisfied with them they decided they wanted fitted wardrobes that could be designed to the dimentions of the space and that would integrate seamlessly into the bedroom. Clare drew up scale plans for the wardrobes for the clients and built and fitted them. Photos >
Oak cupboard doors
This client was very specific on the materials used and the design of the cupboard door. For this Clare drew up a scale plan to ensure that the client was getting exactly what they wanted. Photos >
Television, games console & DVD Stand
With the plethora of electrical items which connect to the the television such as DVD player, games consoles and peripherals, this client wanted a purpose built shelving and stand that would house all of these items and keep everything tidy. Clare designed and built the shelves and stand. Photos >
Kitchen fitting
Clare has fitted kitchens from many supppliers including Homebase, B&Q and Ikea, all with their little quirks and fixings. So what ever the shape and size of kitchen Clare can fit it all. Photos >
Shingled roof
This existing conservatory had a reinforeced leaky glass roof which needed to be replaced. As the structure is wooden it was not possible to use tiles and so wooden shingles were used as they are light and also aesthetically pleasing. Clare will happily look at a conservatory roof if you are looking to use wooden shingles. Photos >
Brickwork renovation
Sometimes all that client wants is to have some brickwork renovated. The main thing with this is that the new brickwork fits in with the existing as much as possible. The client was very pleased with the results shown here. Photos >
